New York-based Young & Rubicam Inc. will take over, ending a 20-year association between the Army and N. W. Ayer Inc. Young & Rubicam will receive a fiscal 1987 contract valued at roughly $100 million, plus four one-year renewal options, estimated to be worth about $100 million each, depending upon how the service’s budget fares on Capitol Hill in future years, for a potential contract value of about $500 million.
