ABC News veteran Charles Gibson was named co-host of ABC’s “Good Morning America” today, officially ending David Hartman’s 11-year reign as the king of the network breakfast club shows.

Hartman announced in October that he was moving on. Gibson, who has covered the White House and Congress for ABC, will make his debut on the entertainment division show after Hartman’s last day on Feb. 20, joining co-host Joan Lunden.
