Fire swept through a hunting party’s tent in the desert, killing three young Arab princes and severely burning two others, the Egyptian newspaper Al Ahram said Friday.

Two sons of Sheik Hamad ibn Saoud, a member of the ruling family in the Persian Gulf state of Qatar, and one of their cousins were burned to death, Al Ahram said.

The tent, made of synthetic material, was set ablaze by a campfire inadvertently left burning overnight Wednesday, the newspaper said.

The paper identified the dead princes as Mansur ibn Hamad, 14, Khaled ibn Hamad, 13, and Khaled ibn Abdel-Rahman. It said Princes Fahd ibn Abdel-Rahman, 15, and Saoud ibn Hamad, 12, survived with severe burns.
