The G-5 countries may discuss exchange rates.
Japanese news reports said leaders of the Group of Five industrialized nations may meet late next week in Paris. The G-5 countries are the United States, Japan, West Germany, Britain and France. The G-7 countries include Italy and Canada. Finance officials from the seven nations are meeting in Florence, Italy, to discuss the agenda of the upcoming meeting. Finance leaders of the G-5 nations met in September, 1985, and agreed to drive down the value of the U.S. dollar to help reduce U.S. trade deficits.
