Fire Engulfs Main Building at Famed W. German Spa

BADEN-BADEN, West Germany —
A fire started by burning kitchen fat engulfed the famous health and resort spa of Baden-Baden, virtually destroying the elegant building, police said.
Thursday’s blaze caused millions of dollars in damage to the main building of the Black Forest spa complex, police added. But no one was hurt and the adjacent gambling casino was untouched, they said.
