Israeli soldiers fired on protesters in two West Bank incidents, wounding five people in the latest flare-up of Arab-Israeli tension. The shootings occurred at the Balata refugee camp and at An Najah University, both near Nablus, where protesters were denouncing attacks by Shia Muslims on Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon. Afterward, Israeli military authorities announced they will shut down the university for a month, the school’s second suspension this year.
