Frenchman Named to U.N. Population Unit

UNITED NATIONS —
The U.N. population agency Wednesday appointed a former French U.N. ambassador as its representative to promote family planning programs worldwide.
Rafael Salas, executive director of the U.N. Fund for Population Activities, named Claude de Kemoularia to serve as the agency’s “ambassador of good will.”
