Greek Workers Strike

ATHENS —
An estimated 1.5 million Greek workers followed a call for a 24-hour general strike Thursday to protest the Socialist government’s austerity program. The strike paralyzed work in factories, offices, banks and on construction sites. Also affected were the state-run railway company and the Olympic Airways airline.
