The British Broadcasting Corp. is considering dropping a five-part drama series about Irish republican guerrillas that has been criticized for being too sympathetic, reported the Sunday Times of London. The paper said the BBC’s controller for Northern Ireland, where the Irish Republican Army is fighting to end British rule, had withdrawn the “Crossfire” series. He ordered scenes to be reshot because he believed they portrayed IRA guerrillas too sympathetically.
