Policeman’s Killer Gets 30-Years-to-Life Sentence

SOMERVILLE, N.J. —
A self-proclaimed revolutionary convicted in the 1981 shooting death of a New Jersey state trooper was sentenced to life in prison. Thomas W. Manning must serve 30 years before he can be eligible for parole, Superior Court Judge Michael Imbriani ruled in the sentencing Wednesday.
