Mozambican guerrillas killed about 50 people in an attack on the main tea-producing center in northern Mozambique, the official news agency AIM reported. The agency said the rebels destroyed much of the equipment at five tea-processing factories that had recently been rebuilt at a cost of about $30 million. The attack at Muepagiua, in Zambezia province about 100 miles east of the Malawi border, began Feb. 12. AIM said the Mozambican army has reasserted control of the area.
