Soviet Doctor Visits Saudis

MANAMA, Bahrain —
A top Moscow eye doctor paid a rare visit by a Soviet citizen to Saudi Arabia last week to address an international medical seminar on eye diseases, the newspaper Al Riyadh reported Sunday. Diplomats said the visit by Dr. Svyatolslav Fydorov, head of Moscow’s Eye Institute, was a further indication of a gradual opening by Saudi Arabia to visitors from Communist countries.
