France Indicts Terror Suspects

French authorities today indicted four alleged leaders of the French terrorist organization Direct Action on charges of possessing weapons and explosives.

The indictments came just after the end of the maximum four days the two men and two women could be held for questioning without being formally indicted. The four were arrested Saturday at a farmhouse in the Loire valley. Officials say Jean-Marc Rouillan, 34, Nathalie Menigon, 29, Joelle Aubron, 27, and Georges Cipriani, 35, are founders and members of Direct Action, the group that claimed responsibility for attacks including the assassinations of Renault President Georges Besse.
