Anti-War Figure Adopts Old Alias, Terry Jackson

EUGENE, Ore. —
Former anti-war activist Silas Trim Bissell has changed his name to the alias he adopted during his 17 years as a fugitive. Bissell, whose family founded the Bissell carpet sweeper company, officially became Terrence (Terry) Peter Jackson on Monday, when a Lane County Circuit Court judge signed an order authorizing the change.
