Former Federal Communications Commission Chairman Newton N. Minow has been named director of the newly established Annenberg Washington Program in Communications Policy Studies of Northwestern University. Minow, a partner in the Chicago law firm of Sidley & Austin, will begin his new job July 1. The communications think tank was established in 1983 as a joint project between the Annenberg Schools of Communications at USC and the University of Pennsylvania.
