Kurdish guerrillas burned 40 tractors at a state-owned facility near the township of Ceylanpinar, in southeastern Turkey. There were no reports of injuries, officials said. A message left at the tractor park, near the Syrian border, said the action was in retaliation for bombing raids by the Turkish air force on rebel installations in northern Iraq. The raids, in which 30 Turkish jets attacked nine rebel camps and ammunition depots, were in retaliation for recent rebel attacks that reportedly killed 34 civilians in southeastern Turkey.
