Hours after an anti-contra demonstration in Tegucigalpa, a bomb exploded in front of the house of Nicaraguan Democratic Force spokeswoman Adela Icaza. Windows and doors of the house were blown out, but no one was injured in the blast in the affluent residential neighborhood of the Honduran capital. Icaza, her husband, Carlos, and their four children were home at the time of the explosion. Police said the bomb was tossed from a passing automobile. It was not known if the bombing was related to the 2,000-person march earlier in the day calling for the contras’ ouster from Honduras or to an internal power struggle among contra factions. The contra leadership is currently in negotiations in Miami.
