BATON ROUGE, La. —
Prosecutors today said they will seek the death penalty against two of four teen-agers accused of raping and beating a 6-year-old boy and throwing him into a swimming pool where he drowned.
East Baton Rouge Parish Dist. Atty. Bryan Bush went to juvenile court asking authorities to certify the two 16-year-olds as adults. Both have prior juvenile records. State law will prevent two other teen-agers--ages 13 and 14--from being tried on adult charges for the weekend death of the first-grade pupil.
