Woman Warrior Awards Planned

The Asian Pacific Women’s Network-Los Angeles will hold its sixth annual Woman Warrior Awards Banquet at 6:30 p.m. next Friday at the Biltmore Bowl.

The event honors women and men who have advanced the status of Asian Pacific women. Individuals to be cited for their achievements are: Dolores Wong for lifetime contributions to the Asian community; in arts and music, jazz conductor and composer Toshiko Akiyoshi; in business and industry, William G. Ouchi, a UCLA professor, author and community leader; in education, Mary Lee Shon, adviser in the Office of Bilingual Instruction and Asian Languages Program of the Los Angeles Unified School District; in government, Corazon Aquino, president of the Philippines.
