Efforts to recover at least 78 bodies entombed in the sunken British ferry Herald of Free Enterprise resumed off the Belgian coast following bad weather and rough seas. The company said that at least 134 people died when the vessel capsized March 6 as it sailed from the Belgian port of Zeebrugge for Dover, England. However, Belgian officials said the final death toll may reach 194 because there may be more bodies still in the hulk than first thought. So far, 56 bodies have been found.
