Know Your Cholesterol Week Set for April 5
Associated Press
WASHINGTON —
President Reagan has signed a bill designating the week of April 5 as “National Know Your Cholesterol Week,” the White House announced on Friday.
Congressional approval of the legislation was expedited in tribute to the resolution’s sponsor, the late Sen. Edward Zorinsky (D-Neb.), who died of a heart attack on March 6.
The measure is designed to increase public knowledge of the importance of being tested for cholesterol.
