Laura Dern’s a dead-ringer for her actress-mom, Diane Ladd (who raised her after splitting with Bruce Dern)--but where is Ladd in the big Life magazine Hollywood issue, which has Laura posing with Dad? She wasn’t asked, said entertainment editor Robert Hofler, even though Ladd’s still very active in the biz (currently at work on the NBC-TV movie “Celebration: Family”).

Mother and daughter were photographed together last year for a “Movers and Shapers” workout feature, Hofler said, and besides, “With divorced couples, I didn’t seen any reason for reunions.”

Thus, Tony Curtis wasn’t asked to pose with daughter Jamie Lee Curtis and Janet Leigh. (“It’s pretty well-known that, in that case, the mother and daughter are extremely close.”) And Sam Robards is with dad Jason Robards. (“Lauren Bacall (Sam’s mother) was in California when we did their pictures in New York.”)
