‘Twilight Zone’ Pilot Testifies He Suffered Gaps in Memory

“Twilight Zone” helicopter pilot Dorcey Wingo testified Monday that he suffered post-trauma stress and memory gaps following the gruesome film set accident that left three actors dead.

Consequently, Wingo told Los Angeles Superior Court jurors, he was unable to recall several preflight production meetings with film crew members and other key details when twice interviewed by federal investigators shortly after the 1982 tragedy.

The prosecutor in the involuntary manslaughter trial of director John Landis, Wingo and two other film makers said she will question Wingo today about contradictions between his earlier statements and those he made on the witness stand during three days of direct examination.
