If letter writer Ken Kantor had taken the time to soak his lenses, perhaps he’d have seen that the credit for the statement “If the media is dumb enough to take these stories seriously year after year, it’s you guys (the media) who are doing the public a disservice” (“The Sweet Smell of ‘Creative’ Oscar Odds,” by Jack Mathews, March 18), which Kantor erroneously attributed to me (Saturday Letters, March 21), in fact, goes to my former Rogers & Cowan colleague, Ian Abrams.
