Male Chivalry?

What has happened to male chivalry? I ride the bus to and from school each day, and at least once a day I have seen healthy looking men seated, while older adults, pregnant women, and women holding babies are standing.

Is male chivalry dead? Should men feel humane enough to give up their seats? Has our society been reduced to looking out for No. 1 without any concern for the welfare of others? Please men, respond!
