Two Sailors Swept From Sub Deck; Body Recovered

KITTERY, Me. —
Two sailors were swept from the deck of the Navy submarine Ulysses S. Grant in rough weather Monday, officials said. One sailor was pronounced dead at a hospital 90 minutes after being pulled from the ocean by the Coast Guard. Rescuers briefly spotted the second man, but he disappeared.
