Boy, 15, Is Youngest to Get Jarvik Heart

MINNEAPOLIS —
A teenager was listed in critical condition Wednesday after apparently becoming the youngest person to receive a Jarvik 7 artificial heart, medical officials said.
Christopher Larson, 15, of Esdaile, Wis., received a mini-Jarvik heart at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in an operation performed to keep him alive while he waits for a human heart transplant.
