Please accept my appreciation for Dick Roraback’s light but insightful piece. I’m glad he has the pig pump.

I’ve got to hand it to him for picking up on the gals who really do the job down in the front lines. His “mechanics” moniker is good, but the women who handle the rest . . . the thermometers, bedpans, catheters, ice water, TLC as needed . . . they are the stuff of angels. Thanks for writing the story so well.
