Theologian Charles Curran, suspended from Catholic University of America for his dissent on sexual issues, will take a post as visiting professor of Catholic studies at Cornell University, the Ithaca, N.Y., school said. Curran, a Roman Catholic priest, is fighting the suspension from Catholic University in court and has said he has no plans to leave the Washington, D.C., school permanently. Supporters said Curran would have a news conference today. Cornell said Curran also will be a senior fellow in its Society for the Humanities.
