Ex-Idaho Lawmaker in Jail Again
Former Rep. George Hansen (R-Ida.) was in the Alexandria City Jail today awaiting questioning by a probation officer after being arrested in Nebraska on charges of violating conditions of his parole, including a ban on leaving Virginia without permission.
Hansen, 56, will be kept in the jail until the interview, said Justice Department spokesman Joe Krovisky. He said he did not know if the questioning would be today or next week. Hansen served six months in federal prison in Virginia on ethics convictions last year and was paroled in December.
