Bicycling Called Fastest Growing Sport

Bicycling is the fastest growing sport in the world, accoding to the Bicycle Federation of America. In the United States alone, there are more than 82 million regular cyclists.

As the trend spreads, defensive cycling becomes an increasingly important skill, especially for children.

“Parents must make new--and different--efforts to teach their children safe riding,” said Bill Wilkinson, executive director of the Bicycle Federation of America. “The environment for cycling has changed. So have the rules and equipment.”
