TransWorld Bancorp Posts 4% Rise for 1st Quarter

TransWorld Bancorp said first-quarter earnings and assets both rose 4% from a year ago.
Earnings were $221,000, or 24 cents a share, in contrast with $213,000, or 23 cents, in the first quarter of 1986. Assets were $157.7 million, in contrast with $151.8 million. Net worth as a percent of assets rose to 6.8% from 6.4%.
TransWorld has nine offices and is based in Sherman Oaks.
