Terrorists hurled dynamite sticks from a car into three residential areas of West Beirut, the latest in a seven-week string of bombings apparently aimed at discrediting Syria’s law enforcement in the Muslim sector of the Lebanese capital. Police said the five blasts shattered windows and set more than a dozen cars afire in residential districts. No injuries were reported. The explosions brought to 72 the number of bombings since Syria deployed more than 7,000 troops in West Beirut on Feb. 22 at the request of Muslim government leaders.
