Teamsters will not vote on PSA’s contract offer.

Teamsters Union Local 2707 does not intend to submit an amended labor contract proposed by Pacific Southwest Airlines to a ratification election, union officers said. PSA broke off negotiations with the Teamsters last Thursday after delivering its “final” offer to the union that represents 3,000 PSA employees. PSA has described the contract modifications as necessary if USAir Group is to complete its $400-million bid for San Diego-based PSA. A group of dissident Teamsters on Tuesday picketed the Teamsters’ Los Angeles headquarters as part of a rank-and-file effort to force an election.
