Your editorial was quite accurate in pointing out the Greek government’s role in creating the Aegean conflict and the Turkish response to it.

The recent events that brought Turkey and Greece to the brink of war disillusioned many people, including us, who thought that the Turkish-Greek friendship was not only possible but it also was essential for the good of the two nations.

It is clear now that Greece under the leadership of Andreas Papandreou is not ready to take such a step.
