Thank you for your rational and compassionate editorial. The guarantee that our Constitution provides to women that they may make private decisions regarding their productive health will be invalidated should the anti-choice movement achieve its legislative agenda this year.

Too often constitutional rights become the sole privilege of the well-to-do. California has a history of providing a helping hand to her people. Isn’t it ironic that a small band of religious and so-called “moral” protesters may soon deny help to poor and young women at their most vulnerable moments simply because the former group has the power to shape destiny for the latter?
