Deportation of Karl Linnas
The thrust of the Supreme Court’s decision on Karl Linnas is that he is liable for extradition to the U.S.S.R., not because of his probable war crimes but for lying on his immigration forms. I cannot fault their reasoning.
He would have been wiser to swim the Rio Grande and enter the United States as an undocumented alien. Then he would have been sheltered by the God squad and now be eligible for amnesty.
