More Dialogue

“Dialogue toward understanding” between Jews and Arabs merits the attention and space Kathleen Hendrix and The Times gave this noble effort. But the decisions rest with those Jews and Arabs who live in the countries in conflict. We can do little but suffer the same frustration the participants described have in their search.

Expectations unfulfilled--and that’s what remains the problem--eat away at the body and soul. All we can do from this distance is try to build an image that can nourish the hunger for peace that tears at the fabric of being good neighbors.

Hopefully, the example here can generate the movement in Israel and the Arab nations toward an end to conflict there.
