Irish Prime Minister Charles Haughey, eager to celebrate the band’s chart-topping tour of the United States, invited U2 members to an official lunch at the Foreign Ministry in Dublin when the group arrived from New York Monday. Haughey told reporters that he thought the lunch would be a fitting tribute to what he called the band’s magnificent achievements internationally.
