Four Japanese arrested on charges of selling Moscow secrets about the U.S. F-16 fighter plane also sold data on the American AWACS electronic surveillance aircraft, the Yomiuri newspaper said. Police broke the ring last week by arresting the four Japanese--one of them an employee of a technical library at the U.S. Yokota Air Base west of Tokyo who is suspected of stealing documents on U.S. military aircraft and selling them to other members of the group. Investigators, who implicated two Soviet diplomats last week, said a third Soviet diplomat has been identified. He is believed to be the group’s first contact with Moscow. All three have left Japan.
