An attorney for Phoenix Police Chief Ruben Ortega has asked a judge to dismiss a media request to release reports of the investigation which led to drug indictments against five current and former Phoenix Sun basketball players.
Release of the documents would be a “blatant violation” of a gag order in the case, Assistant City Attorney Sharon Haynes told Maricopa County Superior Judge John Seidel.
