Ann Morfogen, a former spokeswoman for KNXT-TV (now KCBS-TV), will return to Los Angeles in two weeks as vice president in charge of media relations for CBS on the West Coast. She will handle press queries on news, sports and entertainment. Michael Buchanan, the network’s West Coast vice president for press information and a 30-year CBS veteran, is taking an early retirement. His job will be eliminated, said George Schweitzer, chief spokesman for the CBS Broadcast Group. Morfogen, with CBS since 1970, had been CBS News’ communications director since 1983. That job will be filled by Tom Goodman, formerly of ABC News, Schweitzer said Wednesday.
