The Nation : Floods Continue in Texas
High water forced more evacuations as rain continued in waterlogged Texas, where two people died in weather-related accidents and Lake Texoma on the Texas-Oklahoma border threatened to pour over its spillway. The state has been plagued by thunderstorms for nearly two weeks. Several funnel clouds were reported over Galveston Bay, and a tornado was reported on the ground in Lavaca County in south-central Texas, the National Weather Service said. Tornado watches were issued in Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, the District of Columbia and Maryland.
