Letters in VIEW : Time Has Come to Teach the Real Basic

Share

If it were up to me, the basic curriculum in all schools would encompass the one conceptualized by W. Clement Stone (“Riches From the Land of Dreams” by Garry Abrams, May 20).

When anyone possesses a clear-cut feeling of worthiness and high self-esteem, no goal, problem or obstacle is impossible. And from the numerous failures I see all about me at the school in which I teach, the choice is very clear: A renewed presentation of the enhancement of the individual must take precedence over the continual emphasis of the 3 Rs.

First and foremost, everyone must feel good about himself.
