What does a rock band do when it puts out a live album and doesn’t want to do a concert tour but doesn’t want the fans to feel deprived? Well, English metal-mongers Judas Priest, whose “Priest . . . Live” double LP has just hit the stores, is sending its new live video on a “tour” of rock clubs, including Bogart’s in Long Beach tonight and Park Place in San Diego on Thursday. And for the personal touch, lead singer Rob Halford will be there to introduce the screenings. The 95-minute video--recorded in Dallas and Houston on last year’s tour--will be shown in an edited 50-minute form.
