Kidnapers in Beirut freed Ali Osseiran, the son of Lebanon’s defense minister and his police driver, but there was no sign of American journalist Charles Glass, Osseiran family sources said. They said that Ali and the policeman arrived at the Osseiran house in Rmeileh near the south south Lebanese port town of Sidon early this morning. At least a dozen gunmen seized the three south of Beirut on June 17. The release of Osseiran followed a reported warning by Syria yesterday that it would take tough measures and would not compromise over the fate of Glass, Osseiran and the driver.
