‘Role Models’ Need to Join Drug Battle

I really appreciate your thorough coverage of and front-page attention to the continuing problem of substance abuse. The stories were well-written and covered many of the problems related to substance abuse. My teen-agers have participated in many high school and college athletic programs--in which this area of concern is usually ignored by those in charge. Comprehensive preventive educational approaches do work and should start early.

I hope your timely articles will alert those who work with young people so that they may make a commitment to helping find solutions to common problems.
