Two workers at the production companies that make the children’s television series “Sesame Street” have been indicted in New York on charges of stealing more than $60,000 in a fake check scheme. The two pleaded innocent to charges of second-degree grand larceny and first-degree criminal possession of stolen property, each of which carries a maximum prison term of seven years. “Is Big Bird involved?” the judge wondered. Not to worry--Big Bird, Ernie, even Oscar the Grouch are not implicated.
