Yugoslavia’s Inflation Rate Topped 100% in June

The annual inflation rate in June officially passed 100% and reached an all-time high for Communist Yugoslavia.

The state Tanjug news agency said the rate in June was 100.6%, compared to June, 1986. Inflation during 1986 was 93.3%.

Tanjug said that the record inflation in June reflected price increases on gasoline, services, agricultural and industrial products.
