Calendar has always had a way of bringing out the best in people.

On June 21 we were treated to the various whines, beefs, carps and moans of assorted Calendar writers in which they decry the abysmal state of popular culture and life in general (“Neo-Nasty”). The readers were encouraged to respond in kind.

On the following Sunday we were treated to the various whines, beefs, carps and moans of assorted Calendar readers who easily proved that they can be every bit as vituperative as the writers.

Not only did these readers tell us what they didn’t like about popular culture and life in general, but they also told us what they didn’t like about the Calendar writers’ opinions of popular culture and life in general.

A major point was missed by both writers and readers; who cares? It’s all so much tedious fertilizer.
